    C9AX-8501-A Holman-Moody Boss 429 NASCAR water pump, dated 1969!
    FoMoCo Casting C8SE 8505-E.
    Dated 9E20 4.
    This is the cast iron version, modified by Ford Motor Co., to use in NASCAR racing
    and then supplied thru Holman-Moody.
    This pump is brand spanking new, in its original Ford box, still wrapped in VPI paper dated 10-68. Looks just like the day it was made at Ford!

    History: In 1969 the Ford factory sponsored NASCAR teams had access to the ultra-rare SK-42501 aluminum water pump. Other NASCAR racers & Ford teams were offered this special C9AX cast iron version. This pump started as a production water pump, but Ford pulled 100 pieces aside; to have the by-pass tube modified, to mate up with the NASCAR crossover tube and also had the impeller modified to 3.75" to decrease horsepower draw-down!
    Note: Special factory brazing on by-pass tube to form 90 elbow.
    The original Ford boxes were then re-used, after the by-pass & impeller had been modified, except the Ford part number on the box was then blacked-out.
